I’ll start this business blog by answering a question posed to me by my partners: why will people read your blog?
Here are the top ten reasons to read my blog ala Guy Kawasaki style – one of my favorite's.
i. The mission of this blog is to increase the value of small and medium service businesses.
ii. The objective is to align management and ownership within a common definition of success. I’ll discuss strategy, tactics, and how to create an environment where success can be achieved.
iii. My passion is to share the value creation methodologies I’ve developed over my career and my passion for implementing them.
iv. The audience that I am writing for is knowledge seekers looking for lessons learned in the boardroom as a CEO, Chairman / director, and investor. This blog is written for business owners, executives, investors, and stakeholders focused on increasing the value of their business.
v. Good day, I’m Charles Bedard, the author of this blog – former executive now turned business consultant and advisor. I hope you enjoy this blog – to get the most out of it send me a business question about your business. viii. My philosophy: All too often consultants are hired to solve a specific leadership or functional problem. Businesses whether in development, growth, or mature phase of their lifecycle face similar challenges. Ninety percent of the companies I work with have at least one operational and management issue. Without solving the root causes the real issues cannot be resolved. Value creation stems from solving both strategic and operational issues as well as aligning all stakeholders.
