SHRM 2017 Annual Conference & Convention Recap #SHRM2017:
More 15,000+ attendees, including more than 1,000 global attendees from more than 80 countries, plus more than 600 vendor booths attended the #SHRM17 Annual Conference this week in New Orleans, LA.
Many attend to recertify and extend their skills and competencies (SHRM Competency Model), or stay-up-to-date on trends and vendors, while others attend looking for a specific HR solution or a solution for specific workforce pains or business challenges. Others simply attend SHRM to network with HR peers from around the country (SHRM letter to boss to attend).
The theme for #SHRM17 was “All In”.
As in “all in to total commitment to your professional goals” to create a culture of belief and drive big results. From Henry G. Jackson, SHRM president and CEO: “Total commitment to our profession is more critical today than ever before. We are living in an era of seismic change and real uncertainty: Talent management and the skills gap have never posed a greater risk to business.
